Before works commence, we are required to notify your electricity supplier that we are planning to install an EV charger, this allows the supplier to check if your meter and the supply coming in to your house is suitable to carry out the installation, they will either give the go ahead, or let us know that some upgrading works will be required before we can start, any upgrading works will be done at the cost of the supplier.

There are three main types of EV chargers available, rapid, fast, and slow. Each provides its own advantages.
Rapid chargers typically use a 22kw voltage and can give a vehicle full charge in around 30 minutes. It is common to come across these in service stations, or locations where a fast and thorough charge will be required.
Fast chargers typically use a 7kw voltage and can provide a vehicle with full charge in around 6 hours. These charger types are the ones most typically installed for domestic properties, and often in commercial car parks.
Slow chargers are broadly considered an emergency or backup charger. They are designed to fit into a standard 13A socket but can take up to 12 hours to provide a vehicle with full charge.
